SWLAHEC is a member of AHECs for a Healthy Louisiana (AHL), a 501c(3)nonprofit corporation made up of the four Louisiana AHECs (Central, North, Southeast and Southwest) and community partners. AHL provides overall program guidance for Med Job Louisiana, a nonprofit recruitment and retention program that provides free professional services to help rural and underserved communities attract qualified health professionals in non-metropolitan cities and health professional shortage areas. The goal of Med Job Louisiana is to improve access to primary care services to Louisiana residents.
